These are a couple "marks" that I created for our first assignment. The challenge was to paint these on the floor while standing. We were to gather inspiration from our name while experimenting with the figure and the ground. One I did (not pictured here) I named Mahnken, after the great-grandmother I was named after. It looked like the giant bow I have a picture of her wearing.
